Family Empowerment

CAASNM’s Family Financial Empowerment pillar assist families to become informed self-advocates by providing programs and services that allow them to become engaged in the community, build entrepreneurship and improve their economic quality of life.

Kids Can Youth Entrepreneur Program instills qualities of leadership among youth 5-17 as they build their own micro-business, earning real money.

Financial Literacy classes teach clients the importance of saving and other financial decisions across life stages. Financial literacy is vital to the work of helping clients build self-reliance.

Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) and Children’s Savings Accounts are also administered by CAASNM to instill habits of saving for major lifetime goals, such as purchasing a home, starting/expanding a business or pursuing education.

The Small Business Development Program supports and grows existing rural small businesses.
