Computer Literacy is one of CAASNM’s core services to help low-income clients build self-sufficiency. The classes cover a broad spectrum of abilities from how to turn on a computer to internet tools and safety. Overall purpose of the computer literacy program is to give New Mexicans access to skill-building programs that will ultimately lead to self-sufficiency. Some basic computer literacy programs may include; Basic Computer Skills and Introduction to the Internet
- Basic Computer Skills
Students gain fundamental information about computers and get hands-on experience with equipment and techniques. By the end of this course, participant will be able to create, save and edit a simple Microsoft Word document.
- Introduction to the Internet
With access to the internet, people literally have the world at their fingertips. This course provides an overview of the Internet, what resources are available and how to find information.
