Supervised by: Finance Director

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, performs

fiscal duties including accounting and other clerical work.

Salary: Salary range between $20 and $24 per hour depending on experience

License Requirements: Valid NM Class D driver’s licenses required. Must be insurable.

Education: Associate Degree in Accounting r Finance or other relevant experience.

Experience: Two (2) years experience preferably in non-profit or public agencies.

Skill/Abilities: Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures to include accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, ability and desire to learn organization’s software such as Abila MIP Accounting, Microix Purchase Order, EWS Payroll, and Office 365. Ability to prepare accurate and timely required reports, organize work, set priorities, and communicate effectively with vendors and employees.

Job Description: Assists fiscal staff with tasks assigned such as completing payroll; reconciliations; posting to operating accounts, grant and contract accounts, revenues and inventory accounts; prepares monthly quarterly and yearly reports; manages purchase order requests from staff; assists with fiscal and managerial control of all agency funding sources; budget projections and preparations; ensures accounting procedures are in accordance with CAA accounting policies and procedures, federal and state requirement, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); computer literacy required including excel spreadsheets; performs other related job duties as assigned. Position is subject to Drug and Alcohol testing policy when mandated.
