Position Summary: Recruits new CACFP Daycare Centers, and monitors the Center facility to assure compliance with the USDA and NM Dept. Early Childhood Education and Care rules and regulations.
License Requirements: Valid NM Class D driver’s license required. Must maintain insurability with CAA insurance to continue employment.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Prior experience with public, desirable but not required.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to interact with the community, recruit, and monitor CACFP Centers, understand state and internal policies, work well with others-especially women and children, effectively communicate orally and in writing, and work independently. Strong attention to detail; Desire to excel.
Job Description: Uses approved means of advertising to inform the Community of available programs and recruit potential CACFP Daycare Centers; Gathers all required documents and completes application packet and submits for State approval; Trains new Center staff on CACFP guidelines, completion of menu records, meal counts sheets, Attendance sheets, Income Eligibility Applications, and roster. Trains on keeping track on food and non-food receipts to complete the Income and Expense reports. Collects required paperwork to process claims submission; Monitors newly approved and on-going Centers for CACFP guideline compliance with Environmental agencies and food preparation safety requirements; Informs Centers regarding menu problems, corrections, and payment deductions; Continually updates Center information for desk files and computer database; files paperwork; mails necessary forms, completes follow-up calls and or visits and keeps track of Center training and provides information of where to find additional training and provides referrals for other needed assistance; Attends all required meetings for CAA and the community; Performs other job related duties as assigned, keeps track of agency vehicle maintenance and mileage as well as personal vehicle mileage used for work. Position is subject to Drug and Alcohol testing policy when mandated.
