Farmers, ranchers help CAA

LAS CRUCES- New Mexico farmers and ranchers are teaming up with Walmart in Las Cruces in an effort to assist the Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico during challenging economic times.

Agriculture producers from Dona Ana County will meet at Walmart on Walton Boulevard at 11 a.m. April 13 to shop for food and other staples needed by the agency. The money for the substantial shopping event is provided by members of the Dona Ana County Farm and Livestock Bureau and Walmart.

The CAA provides food to more than 2,500 individuals and families per month in six southern New Mexico Counties.
